Bellevue Senior Community Center Services Offered

Congregate Meal Program

You can find food, friendship, and fun at the Bellevue Senior Community Center. Our center serves a hot, noon meal designed to meet one-third of the recommended daily allowance for vitamins and nutrients. We also offer a weekly supper meal that provides the same. Reservations are required at least one day in advance. Suggested contribution for our noon meal is $4.00. No one is denied a meal because of an inability to pay and all contributions are private.

But there's more to the story than a hot, well-balanced meal. In addition to the lunch, our senior center offers a variety of services and activities served with a friendly, personal touch.

To find out what's cooking at the Bellevue Senior Community Center, check our monthly menus published right here on our website.

Home Delivered Meals

(through the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging)

The home delivered meals program, also known as "Meals on Wheels", provides over 800 meals each day in the Omaha area. Home delivered meals meet one-third of RDA guidelines and are now available in low salt, low sugar, bland and ground formats for those with special dietary needs. Hot and nutritious meals are delivered Monday through Friday. Box lunches are delivered on for the weekends for those clients who are particularly frail. The meals are delivered by a combination of paid drivers, volunteers and business groups. More than 200 volunteers keep this program running strong. Recipients of Meals on Wheels pay on a sliding fee scale based on their income. Low income recipients may qualify to have the State of Nebraska pay for their meals through the Title XX Program. No one is denied service due to an inability to pay.
